Geno Smith has beat out Drew Lock in the Seahawks' quarterback competition and will start the team's Sept. 12 opener against Russell Wilson and the Broncos, Pete Carroll said.

As far as any dirt, no I don't think so but I don't believe that he's lost anything. I think he's a good addition for the Broncos. Will he take them to the promise land of a super bowl? Probably not but I think they will win some games

Bobby, this is a great "handicapper" game for Week 1.

Think hard about what I'm saying. Pete observed this guy for ten years. If there's any statistical weakness on "Rolling right" or "Rolling left" etc...that's what Pete will make him do.

Think back to Super Bowl, Bucs vs Raiders. Gruden knew what Gannon was going to do. Gave his defense the perfect scouting report, and those guys were two steps ahead.
