I need to visit some of these clean low crime places. I just wish I liked seafood
No, the American who got his ass caned was was arrested for stealing road signs and vandalizing 18 cars and I feel he deserved it.

Yes, it's very clean. They employ "uncles" (elderly retired men) to sweep dust and such outside office buildings. It gives them something to do and cleans things up.
It used to be against the law to chew gum but they've relaxed that law recently.
I've posted this in this thread before but that was eons ago. I'll never forget when I was eating at a restaurant at night next to a park when I saw this middle-aged lady walking in the park by herself. My female friends say they've never had any problems feeling unsafe anywhere in the country.
It's pretty expensive to visit and aside from a couple tourist areas it's a rather boring place. You get that with countries that are safe though. I don't think I would visit again if I hadn't spent a few months there and got to know a few people.
There is plenty of food to eat other than seafood. Singapore is one of the gastronomical centers of the world. They have a presence of East Indians so that food is available plus the Chinese food of course but they are also right next door to Malaysia so you get all that good food influence with dishes such as satay, beef rendang, popiah, nasi lemak, etc. and other Malaysian influenced dishes. Since it's a modern city you can't get any international type food there as well. And of course the seafood is top notch.
