As i am still active in both Soccer ( ends in May ) and CBB ( ends Apr ) i carried both records forward to this thread. I would have maintained a thread for each and every sport from start to the end of each season as most posters do, but it would just clutter the forum. I will keep track of each sport from start to the end of each season. Positive input is always appreciated.

Wed Jan 29 : Champions League ( Final Group games )

18 games across Europe tomorrow , all with 3pm est kick off times

The 1st 8 places receive an automatic bye and #9 through #24 will advance to a playoff game. Tough to say whether a team already eliminated will put out a competitive 11. Bayern are in need of a win , but no value against lowly Slovan Bratislava ( Probably a good thing for my pocket book lol ).
Real Madrid playing at Brest in a game that truly matters to both ( No Viniscus Jr ). Atalanta @ 4.50sh in Barca seems steep considering Barca have already qualified with a bye.

Liverpool have already locked up 1st place and an automatic bye next round. PSV are battling to grab a playoff game position ( presently 19th place of the 24 playoff spots available ). Liverpool have already announced the following players will not play under " Coach's Decision "......

Europa : Anderlecht vs Hoffenheim : 3pm

Over 3 @ 2.01 ( 2 units )

Its a big game for both, although in 2 different ways. Anderlecht are protecting a top 8 finish ( currently 7th ) and the automatic Bye. Hoffenheim will need to win and hope for a favourable goal tally just to grab a playoff spot @ #24. The one glaring issue for Hoffenheim has been a leaky back 4. Today , with a need for goals , manager Ilzer has a 3-5-2 formation. Perhaps Anderlecht are the more logical play @ 2.25 , i just see goals in this one.

A.Madrid are battling long time foe R.Madrid for the Spanish title. They are still involved in Ch League and Copa play , where they are fresh off a 4 - 1 win in Salzburg to solidify a top 8 finish and automatic bye. With a large lead in that game , several key players were subbed off to use for todays league game. Mallorca , who have topped all pre season forecasts , are usually a solid defensive side. Today the travel to Madrid with a large hole in the middle of their formation. Misssing today are 3 key midfielders in Mascarell , Morlanes and Sanchez.
