For anyone who is participating in an eliminator challenge, use this thread as a way to discuss and try and make it as far as possible.

I currently am in a $50/entry and I do 2 entries. Typically over 200 entries.

2 rules I try to stand by when making picks.

1. Always take a home team
2. Avoid divisional match ups.

The farthest I made it was week 15 I wanna say 4-5 years ago. I lost on a missed XP, I do remember that.

Good luck to anyone playing and hopefully someone can make it to the end

WEEK 1

Week 1-2 are the 2 toughest weeks of the season when you are still figuring out the teams as they try and figure out their identity.

If you are trying to find teams maybe 6 points or above.....limited options week 1

Buffalo -6 home to Arizona....personally I still hate Arizona. I know everyone is high on them, but I don't think Kyler Murray is very good. Harrison will certainly help him, but not change the whole team and give them 4-5 additional wins. Buffalo is without Stephon Diggs but Josh Allen is top 7 QB in the league and that offense has enough weapons to be able to get through Arizona....in theory

Cincy -8.5 home to NE......NE might be the worst team in the league. Cincy has some question marks with Burrow coming back from injury and Chase potentially holding out. And Tee Higgens on franchise tag, but NE is still bad bad and Cincy should start with a W

every other game this week is 5 points or less. Not a ton of "great options" but if you can survive week 1-2 then it gets easier

Cincy and Buffalo will be on a lot of peoples eliminator cards for week 1. If you are looking for other potential options....

Miami -4 home to Jags. I think this season Jaguars regress as other teams in the AFC South have improved....Colts and Texans. Jags had the last 3-4 years to make their run and never did and I think this season they start the decline. Miami still has the high powered offense and week 1, let's see them shine

Seattle -6 home to Denver. Bo Nix starting for Denver. not much to love about denver offense overall

Dallas -6.5 home to New Orleans
Baltimore -10 home to Vegas
Chargers -6.5 AT carolina
SF -6 AT minnesota
Detroit -7 home to TBAY
KC -6 home to Cincy
Houston -7 home to CHicago
Phily -6.5 home to Atlanta

8 games where spread is 6.5 or higher. For me, take out Chargers and SF being road teams. Then it just comes down to who I want to "save" for future weeks.

Right now I have PHILY boxed in for my week 2 pick. Could change to Houston
