Foot injuries are a sticky wicket. A lot of guys that get them once keep getting them throughout their careers.
I don’t know if I’d draft him that high now
Fortunately this type of injury just takes time to heal and shouldn't be a future issue, with a couple of exceptons.
If there's any soft tissue damage then it could be another story.
But fractures like Jones can run into problems healing,a they can be non-union and won't necessarily heal on it's own with the standard bone regeneration
Once it does heal, even if surgery was required, then the foot should be in good shape. It just tends to take longer to get over it. Athletes will ge bomb ass treatment and speed it all up, especialy with surgery.
The attention the athletes get will also help it to heal correctly further reducing chronic issues like pain and the risk of re-injury.
