Nobody selling secrets of any kind to make money any business because you then would be creating competition for yourself

You gotta be joking? Do you get kick out of casinos for card counting? Yes, then it does work… lol.

People teaches it because it’s hard to constantly make profit at casinos when they will eventually ban you as an AP. Nothing wrong in teaching and having more people learn it. More AP will irritate casinos and maybe that is what someone wants, especially if that person already has been kicked out and/or banned by casinos.

I’ve done it a few times but drink too much at the tables so will lose count (that why a prefer craps). A friend does it but the several things he has to do to stay under the radar is too cumbersome for me. It works but difficult to not get caught and make a profit in the long run.

unless it's a team, it's pretty impossible to make it worthwhile. can't really go from $25 to $250 without the pit boss staring a hole in you

I've done it (low stakes) when I was in college but its too much "work" so I stopped. It takes the fun out of playing the game.

I actually was asked to leave at the Stardust once in the early 2000s. I wasn't winning a huge amount but I wasn't very good at keeping my card counting concealed so they politley asked me to leave.

I realize this is slightly off topic, but I can't believe idiots still play 5:4 Blackjack. The casinos wouldn't offer those odds if no one played them.

Circling around to make that relevant to the topic, it's pretty hard to find a casino that will have a low-deck shoe and offer 3:2 with all the proper odds on the other hands as well.

Does it work - sure.

Are most people equipped to do it and of those - how many have the bankroll required to be successful at it ?

If it were so simple you could watch a YouTube video - walk into a local casino and do it - there wouldn’t be a single deck blackjack table available.
