Kind of volatile lately JJ. Tough to invest with it up and down with every tweet from Elon and Trump.

Now, if I knew what they were going to tweet in advance (like many in the WH do), I'd be a billionaire just in the 8 weeks Trump's been in office. Many people are getting rich by having this insider information. I guarantee it.

Nope - long term you will lose.

Also not generally a “buy and hold forever” type either - I know going in an entry/exit points I’m comfortable with. If it goes below my point - I review and decide if a re adjustment is needed, same if it exceeds my exit points.

Today for example - it’s a mass sell off. Nothing specific to any sector. I’ll probably dump some of my tobacco names as they just shot up and short term they will likely correct a bit - I’ll buy back then.

My energy names I’ll hold - sucks seeing XLE drop from 93 to 88 - but even as a recent entry I’m dollar cost averaged down to 86 - and received a dividend and a little options premium too in that time. At 85 - I’d probably exit half my position as it’s just a sign that the market is in freefall - at 95 I’d sell unless something significant is moving the oil market.

Today I bought Sbux and CMG at roughly 89 and 50 respectively. Smaller positions - but I like the names and think they will do ok - in the mean time sell options/collect a premium and wait for other buying opportunities with my free cash.

Still like names like FMC and PII today too -FMC off 8% - farmers are going to benefit from the tariffs long term - so anything in the space should be looked at. PII is a consumer play - and despite rumors of their demise - US consumers are doing ok. 38 bucks - down 13% to a 52 week low and 7% dividend - it’s a value bargain.
