I think that's their most popular song of all time. It's ironic because they ripped off Joe Satriani in places.

Satriani's song "If I Could Fly" was written first. Satriani and ColdPlay came to a financial agreement and the copyright infringement lawsuit was dropped after a settlement was agreed upon.

Always thought of them similar to Nickelback - with a lot of people walking around thinking it’s the fashionable thing to do hating on them because they have catchy pop songs and a lot of fans who aren’t “diehards” - just casual fans.

Personally - I like a few less their songs. Again - catchy, well written and masterfully produced. They are a bit “polished” - but not everyone can sound like some jam band. Why people hate on someone who is good at what they do and successful is beyond me. Plenty of no talent pop “stars” who get none of the hate they deserve. You don’t have to love every act out there - but leave the hate for U2 and other deserving acts.

I like Nickleback as well.

I always thought “Too Bad” was a rockin’ burner. IDK why Nickelback gets so much $#!T - there’s a helluva lot of wayyyy worse bands & music out there…..

Coldplay is alright. No doubt about talent off the charts. They make happy people happier.

Not a Nickleback fan, but I respect their talent.

No. Rolling Stones are much more than R&R. They do blues,rock,jazz,country,disco,reggae,soul,folk,etc. all very well. Nobody ever like or ever will be like them even The Beatles.
I listened to a few songs by Nickelback(few I heard before). They aren't bad but don't care for lead singers' singing much.

Ever listened to Hootie and Blowfish KR? They were a rock band too. Some good songs.

Darius Rucker was their lead singer and then he went out on his own and when country. Won some CMT awards too.

Satriani .. I like him though confess haven't listened to a lot of his stuff. Reminds me of Buckethead a lot.

Rarely listen to country.
But my favorite country song is probably this one by Kenny Chesney.
