Do Tyler Herro/Darius Garland go 1-2 in a 2019 NBA redraft??

As shockingly as it may have seemed 3-4 years ago I’d say yes.

Zion, arguably the most hyped player coming out of high school or college since LeBron, is borderline bust at this point. We’ve only seen flashes of brilliance the limited time he’s been on the court.

Seems like Zion likes biscuits and gravy more than he likes basketball.

And the nearly as talented Ja Morant likes guns, gangs and arguments with coaches and teammates more than he does hoops.

The biscuits & gravy line aged like milk, Zion showed up this season in the best shape of his career and was dropping 22+ PPG before the latest adductor tweak sidelined him again. He’s only played 15 games so far, but still putting up 21.8/5.7/3.5 on 53% shooting when healthy.

Ja’s been dealing with ankle issues lately averaging 17.7/7.5 assists, but that one-game team suspension back in November for clashing with the coach is the real drama lately, not guns anymore.
Both still have insane talent if the injury Gods ever give them a break.

Zion’s numbers always have been great when he plays

He’s missed over half the available games he could have played due to injury. Pretty wild. A lot due to conditioning likely and some due to bad luck

@JDS would you rather have December 2025 Zion or December 2025 Herro on the Heat??
Still gotta go with a Zion with a slight edge, but I’d rather have Herro overall as a player because he plays a lot more.

Yeah I’d much rather have Herro on the Spurs because he’d be a perfect fit for a run with the already loaded roster they have

I could still see a team believing in Zion though. It will be interesting to see how the next 4-5 years go for him. Probably be best for him if it wasn’t with New Orleans. Probably best for them too at this point

zion was supposed to be a difference maker....even healthy he is not "that". he can be good to very good but not what the hype made him out be.

rj barrett has been very solid as well

I remember me and my girl going to watch one of the Duke-North Carolina early 2019 games at the sports bar

Those Duke Zion games were happenings

I sure would have thought he was can’t miss and well into a HOF NBA career by now

At this point Zion in the Hall of What Could Have Been
