First off I try to stay away from the subjects of religion and politics as we know most people are going to go on crazy rants when brought up. That said I don't believe in an afterlife. I believe we are one and done.
Anyway if you were given the chance to live your life over from the moment you first came into this world knowing what you know now would you take that chance? I would without doubt.
I have many regrets in my life but I can't change what came before...only can control what is to come. I accept my past mistakes. It is what it is.
As I come to the last chapter in my life I think a bit about these things. Most of you need not waste your time on such thoughts. Anyway I would like to hear any answers if it interests you.

obviously all of us would just go and buy bitcoin in 2015. I always joke and say I only need to go back 48 hours with the sports knowledge I know and just bet a 15 team parlay

my only fork in the road major decision I look back on is when I was dating 2 girls and I essentailly was at the point where I had to pick 1 to officially date. I chose my future ex-wife. I always wonder if I took the other path

oh well, life moves on

Only a few decisions in life I regret- mostly involve chasing a dollar over spending more time with friends and family, thinking there would be time in the future and by chasing a dollar it would be more enjoyable.

You think money would make things easier - it doesn’t - at least I never found that level of money and time stands still for no one.

I do believe that the spirit moves on. I believe that we presently exist in one realm and move on to another.
Do I have regrets ? Hell yeah. Im with you Kieth , much more reflection as I play the back nine. You can't do anything about the past , and dying is a certainty. I try my best not to waste much time pondering either.
Family is everything to me. I hug every person who walks through the door of my house. I tell my kids how much I love them. How proud I am of them. I spend every chance I can just playing / coloring / arts & crafts with my grandkids
Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on where you are in life Kieth. You seem like a pretty chill kinda guy.

From KR's initial question, yes I would do it all over again. Lots of great memories and more to come.

Regrets, Djeff captured the main one. Spent too much time putting making money over family. Of course, that money has allowed me to buy family tons and tons of stuff but, spending more time with them was always a sacrifice I regret.

👍🍺

About a month after I turned 21, went with my buddies to the ‘meet market’ restaurant/bar/nightclub known as Bobby McGee’s in Brea, CA. Met a tall, statuesque, blonde cougar who looked like Stifler’s mom and was all over me from the second I walked in. Turned out she was from Virginia, here in California “on business”, and was staying at the Embassy Suites right next door.

Long story short, after my buddies were chiding me and giving me $#!T about ditching this “old lady”, I caved to peer pressure, gave her some lame excuse about work the next day or something - and she left…..

Regrets…..

I’ve had a few…..

But then again…..

My d!ck still hasn’t forgiven me for that…..

So here’s one from a few years back - similar to to everyone’s “I should have bought BTC” but more like the guy who did - and then lost the hard drive he stored it on.

So remember when Topps produced and sent a few million packs of baseball cards to the troops during Desert Storm (not the cards for desert storm itself - but 1991 baseball cards with gold foil stamps. Well - the guy I was working for at the time bought a TON of these from some kid coming back from deployment and I wound up acquiring them from him.

In the 90s they tanked in value with all the junk wax - and I DONATED a box of 1k mixed mainly commons to goodwill. But I was no dummy - I kept the set i built for sentimental reasons - right with all those 1989-1990 factory sets I had. They were “worthless” junk wax - but I kept stuff just because of the people I remembered who gave them to me or how I acquired them.

Anyway - I stored them in a garage at my house here around 2008 - again, value was nothing at the time to my knowledge. Never dreamed of anyone paying insane prices for that little gold foil stamp. I wound up renting the house out to a couple of losers and they broke into my garage - stole all those worthless cards, some hand tools and a push mower I had stored out there. We tracked the tools down to a pawn shop who said they tried to sell the cards - but he didn’t deal in cards. Filed a police report and all that - but never figured those cards would be worth anything.

A few years ago caught the headline of how a complete set sold for like $10.000 - I was In disbelief till I looked up how hot they suddenly were. Kicked myself in the ass for that one - and sadly repeated the mistake a few years ago on a smaller scale - leaving a 1988, 1989 and 1989 Bowman Tiffany set at the old homestead where my damn sister stole them and sold them. Again - junk wax era stuff - I paid $10 a piece for them in the 90s and never realized people suddenly recognized the scarcity of those limited sets.
