Curious - any sportsbooks/casinos ever do any unique promos anymore ?
Miss the days when books/host went out of the way to think up something different - reward their best players with something different or unique to keep your business.
I remember Heritage did a few - deposit like a grand and sent you a signed Pete Rose ball one year - still got a couple of their “last game at Yankee Stadium” t-shirts (these were damn heavy t’s) and hats lying around.
BeOnline would send booze every year at Xmas/New Years - gave you choice of tequila or Dom P - I had that damn gift box of Dom lying around so long - left it at the last house for the new owners when we moved.
Of late - it’s just cash/free play - yes, it’s easy to compare - but inspires no loyalty.
Local casino gave me NFl tickets a few times this year - gave them away every time. Shitty games/weather - 2 were “premium club” and one was in the corporate suite.
DraftKings has done a few “Giftly” promos - first one I just missed a premium level because of a push on the last game so came up $300 short of a bump of like $500 in gift. Last one was shitty selection. My “host” there is worthless - still get some automated offers worth using - but never heard back from the host.
Places need to get inventive to survive in this market. The fight for bettor funds is tight - and aside from paying timely and offering competitive lines and pricing - promos go a long way to bringing new faces in and keeping them active.
