Late call up (24)

He's 33 with 350 HRs. Covid took away 35 hrs.

Assuming he fades a bit but goes to 40, he'll be well shy of 700, but- honestly, if he starts at 22, no Covid, he's the clean ALL TIME GOAT. 775??
Aaron Judge fukked himself out of three years of MLB stats in theory by not going pro when he was drafted out of high school

He played three years of college ball

Granted it was the A’s that drafted him when he was 18 so who the hell knows where he’d be

as mentioned, he was 21 already when drafted in 2013. then in 2013 he got hurt and missed his first minor league season.

in 2015 and 2016 he was invited to spring training but never made the team. he did get a late call up in 2016.

2017 he was king rookie. already 25 years of age though.

2018 bad luck wrist injury from hbp killed another 20+ hr.

2019 oblique injury killed another 20+ hr.

2020 was short already and he missed time with calf strains killing another 40+ hr.

2021, 2022 and 2024 he played a good amount of games. we all know 2022 was his record breaking year.

2023 he infamously ran thru the wall at dodgers stadium and hurt his toe. lost another 20+ hr.

he has lost like 100+ hr from injuries and covid. 450 at this point is a lot different than 350.

a problem with judge is/was injuries. not to stanton level of course.

debuting at 25 also has not helped but i do remember the yankees were not 100% sure he was ready and also did not want him sitting on the bench if he made the team. they had other starters which are laughable looking back. knowing what we know now, you bring him up in 2014 after some experience and let him thrive. however, does he still thrive if brought up so soon? everything happens for a reason.

Numbers got so skewed obviously during the Steroid era

Not just season totals but career totals for so many like Bonds

Judge will likely get 500-plus and maybe approach 600, which was rarified air before steroids became prevalent

Actually, everyone in Nor Cal knows, and he should’ve known (Vegas will soon know) that the A’s are a glorified farm team for the Yankees. (I guarantee that if Jacob Wilson keeps playing this good for 2-3 years, then he’ll be with the Yankees.)

Judge played himself by not playing with the A’s. He would’ve quickly worked up through the minors and played in the big league. 3-4 years with A’s and then sign with the Yanks. Catfish, Reggie, Ricky, Giambi, Damon and Swisher could’ve told him.
