Illinois down 31-30

4th and 13 on the Rutgers 41 with 14 seconds left

Illinois tries a 58-yard fg into a swirling wind to win the game

The ball misses the uprights by 10-15 yards left.

Rutgers wins! But no.

Idiot coach Greg Shciano calls time out to “ice the kicker into a brisk swirling wind on a 58-yarder”

Illinois sends the offense back on the field and next play on 4th and 13 with 14 seconds left from the 41 completes a pass to the 25. WR sneaks free and skates into the end zone for a game-winning TD

Time out served absolutely no purpose.

Even if Illinois sent the fg unit back out Rutgers gave the kicker a free kick to read the wind and make adjustments

Exactly - why call the TO ??

“freezing the kicker” I get WHEN ITS A MAKE ABLE KICK.

That’s out of range of most NFL kickers:

Let him take his shot and be done - walk away with the win.

Was scanning the scoreboard app and saw it had 17 seconds and just watched to see what happened. When I saw live odds were Rutgers -200 prior to that kick I thought some shenanigans might ensue. No way he makes that kick (or they make that pass) 40% of the time.

We saw the live feed exact same time

I turned on Peacock real quick and got to see the plays listed above

I’m sure some folks loaded up on Rutgers live and were burned

Shit like this makes me think the games are fixed.

Seeing books dealing a live line of Rutgers -200 when they are up by one and Illinois lining up to kick a 58 yarder on 4th down as well as watching BettorsDen taking down Penn State money line prior to their game while continuing to deal an -11 spread certainly don’t help me think there’s not some funny business going on.

If Wyoming wins tonight we know it’s rigged. Should have bet that game - but decided it best to stay away from playing the Cowboys.
