March Madness has officially arrived. As you might expect, Dick Vitale is fired up.
Shortly after the full bracket was revealed Sunday night, Vitale took to X/Twitter to announce his Final Four picks and national championship prediction.
The longtime ESPN analyst has UConn, the top overall seed and defending national champions, getting back to the Final Four, but with no other No. 1 seeds joining the Huskies in Phoenix.
Besides UConn (East), Vitale has No. 2 seed Tennessee (Midwest) along with No. 3 seeds Kentucky (South) and Baylor (West). He picked the Wildcats, who lost in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals but finished the regular season strong, to beat UConn in the national championship game.
"Here is my VBDI ‘s FINAL 4 & my NATIONAL CHAMP BABY ! KENTUCKY to WIN it ALL! @ESPNPR," Vitale tweeted.
Kentucky and UConn have met in the national title game before, 10 years ago in Texas. The Huskies took down John Calipari's team that night to capture their fourth national championship as a program.
Kentucky has not cut down the nets since 2012 and has not reached the Final Four since 2015, so the members of Big Blue Nation are hungry for a return trip.
We'll see if Dickie V was on the money or if his picks falter in the coming weeks.
