Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has denied allegations of sexual assault and battery that were levied in a lawsuit filed earlier this week in Texas.

"Deshaun strongly denies the allegations in the Jane Doe lawsuit filed Monday," attorney Rusty Hardin, who is representing Watson, wrote Wednesday in a statement. "We have asked him not to comment further while this matter works its way through the courts, but are comfortable he will ultimately be vindicated. We will be ready to defend this case in court at the appropriate time, but don't intend to conduct our defense in the media. We would ask that people be patient while the legal process runs its course."

I like what's happening in Tampa. Especially picking up the 'too short' Mayfield.

Watson sat out a year and was suspended 11 games when he returned. But why the Browns would invest all this $$$ and take this risk is strange for sure.

As much of a Watson hater as I am - if anyone is finding the latest claim against him as anything more than what it is (a complete horseshit suit filed by an attorney who was just waiting for Watson to have a bad game and to pile on) - they are clearly not reading the story.

Do I want Deshaun as QB of my team - no. But given the other options we have - he’s the best available.

I’d much have preferred Flacco myself.

Baker - eh, he’s great when you set up everything to revolve around him. Look at him in Carolina - how horrible was that team. Everyone talks like Baker is the best QB in the league - he’s middle of the pack at best.

If Baker likes the coach - Baker does well.

Thing is this is the NFL - coaches come and go quickly. Just start 0-4 and see how long till your coach is looking at the job boards. Generally when coaches change - there isn’t a lot of carryover from the old staffs either. For Baker - this is trouble as he wants to have as much input into the play calling as the coaching staff.

Like I said - I don’t think he’s horrible - he’s better than half the starters in the league easily. He’s just not top 5 - Cleveland has a way of over reacting.
