If there’s a way to make a buck off people - it will appear in Nash-Vegas first.
Town makes Las Vegas hustlers look tame - sure Sim City has more notoriety- but if you want to get screwed financially - head to Nashville with a dream. Years ago - it was confined to music row and songwriters trying to find a big break - these days it’s everything.
Stupidly out of control real estate to the Bachelorette Party Capital of the World - there’s not much people won’t try in Nashville to make a buck.
I mean on one hand you want to say good for them - but then again, you’re telling me EVERY church is this strait laced in Nashville ? I don’t buy it. Sure - there are some that are more “formal” - but still plenty that are more “modern” in their congregation. Years ago went with the ex to a “Mennonite” church - first thought was it would be a very “religious” group. Very much not what I expected - probably a solid 1/4 showed up on Harley’s and were dressed accordingly. Great group of people who rejected the “formalities” of tradition church. Was actually quite the mix with some older members who had left the Amish community years ago to live more “traditional” lives - but still remained members and then the less traditional types - just seeking a congregation where they would be accepted without judgement.
Of course about a year after we split - found out the ex had her fingers in the cash box there too and had taken from several members. But that’s another story.
