i honestly think darnold said this so he has a built in excuse in case he plays like shit and/or they lose. after his jets years and the vikings game last year when they lost to the rams, it would not shock me.

to me, you don't even say anything unless you literally can't function. look at josh allen. you would not even know any of his ailments except for the report.

with the Jets he sucked. never had big games. saw ghosts as mentioned above when playing the patriots. always looked scared.

he was very good on the vikings last year but choked in the playoffs against the rams

personally, i hope he performs well for his sake. i did not bet either side yet. but just outside looking in, i feel like this is intentional like europro said.
