Could Big 12 miss playoff altogether?

I could see it happening but would like to see your most likely scenario on how this would play out and BIG12 misses 12 team playoff.

IMO for the Big 12 to miss out,

• They would need every team to finish with 3 losses --> Az St, Iowa St, BYU all lose this weekend or two of the 3 lose and then the one that doesn't lose, loses in the Big12 championship game.
• Even then a 3 loss team might sneak in with high enough ranking. You'd have to have Tulane or UNLV sneak past them in the rankings.
