I didn’t realize they played two great defensive teams the first games

I see Sue Bird and Diana Taraussi changed their tune now, giving her encouragement very smart. The players realize she has to play well to keep this league popular.

They won't be good this year but we need to step back and give them some time. They won 13 games last year so anything more than that is an improvement. Also they played two of the best teams in the league right off the bat so of course Caitlyn struggled. She will be fine but it's wasn't fair to expect her to be an All Star right away.
