"The Bengals and Stewart are haggling over language regarding the potential voiding of his future guarantees. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Bengals want to include a phrase that causes a default in the current year to trigger a default in all remaining years," Florio wrote. "The problem is that the contract signed by last year’s first-round pick, tackle Amarius Mims, does not include the language that the Bengals are now attempting to insert into Stewart’s deal.

Okay, in short, he's worried it will cost him millions if things don't go perfectly.

What will gonna happen if Bengals or he in the end won't agree? he's going back to college? or will other NFL teams sign him?

Only can sign with Cinci. Like the old USFL players & their rights. He cannot "re enter" the draft.

However- im not sure he can play NCAAFB after his declaration & draft. Granted NCAA getting destroyed in court, but he'd certainly barred from playing this year while any court action played out.

So, typical black thinking here....

I'm not sure about the "blank thinking," but thanks for the legal explanation, Minny.

NCAA has rule... once drafted you can't come back to play but.... I could see this ending up in court.

He can only sign with Bengals this year but, he is eligible to be drafted next year by any team except the Bengals.

The issue is, if he signed the contract with the clause that Jamesy pointed out, it would set a precedent for future contracts and lead to more of these hold outs going forward, especially for "problem" players with a checkered background.

Well yeah I think youre going to see it because of the rate these guys are beating their wives, killing people while driving recklessly, getting DUIs, gambling, gun charges, etc.

There was always a reason guaranteed money was hard to come by in the NFL and its because so many games are missed over a career, so to limit a teams financial risk, limiting missed games due to injury only seems prudent.

Now, from a league perspective, nobody is re drafting him. The NFL colludes openly as we've seen w past trouble makers.
