some early random thoughts..

Montreal is 0-2 SU (2-0 ATS), but should be 2-0 SU after having Calgary beat in Week 1 barring a special teams mistake to kill them late. and then in Week 2 they did it again with a missed chip shot FG at the gun to beat Toronto. two incredibly tough losses for them on the road.

now they finally get a home game, but have to face a really physical Sask squad who's 2-0 and has the best defense and running games in the league. and Montreal are only getting +3. the line and spot say to take the home dog Montreal here, as Sask will be on B2B road games and on a short week.

problem is - Montreal could play a tight game throughout against Sask, but still manage to lose close and not cover. this is how trying to be a hero by taking the 0-2 home dog here vs. "the best team" is still a risky proposition. i would rather wait/hope to get a better number live with Montreal (ideally +6 or better) if i were to bet this game at all.

Ti-Cats are also 0-2 after having to play at Sask in Week 1 and then completely choking away a comfortable win last week against Calgary. they were up 21 pts at halftime in that one and then made some colossal mistakes to blow it in the 2H.

now they have to travel to 2-0 Winnipeg to try for their first win. that's a real tough assignment. don't know where their heads will be at this week after that choke job last week. and while Winnipeg's offense thus far has taken a step back from last year, their defense is still tough as is their home field. +5 is a fair bit of points to grab in this league though and if it moves to +6 or better, a play on the Ti-Cats could be warranted.
