this is a little like the duke/unc game each yr, this is for state bragging rights in va and it always crazy, plus tech coming off the big loss to unc sat, everyone was jumping on the va wagon a few weeks ago and for some reason they not playing like they was, again gl watching this one tonite with no action on it here

Now I feel less confident. Thanks

Don’t let someone presenting additional info sway your picks.

I could make a case for either side in many games - it comes down to what you think and how you want to play it. No one goes 100% long term.

I agree actually on Virginia here - looked at it earlier and question why not a closer spread if not a straight up pk’em.

Virginia needs to establish their style of play - they can’t let Hokies control the pace of play. 5 points AND the road team here is a lot of points to get here - especially on a total of only 126-127.

I’d take the points and if so inclined consider the under too. I think it’s a rivalry game that is played hard and low scoring. Can’t say Tech won’t win - but it’s unlikely to be a blow out and could be a single possession game at the end. If you are getting 5 points - you’re good whoever has last possession.

Only thing I don’t see happening is someone on Virginia going off and scoring 30+.

This is a good squad 9-1 last 10 and 4-4 on road. Look at their last 5 - 4-1 losing only on the road to Pitt - home vs a much improved Wake Forest and drubbing Miami - road wins vs FSU and a good Clemson team.

Tech 1-4 including losing on the road to a bad Notre Dame team. Obviously Duke/UNc are a step above talent wise but FSU is not as good as Virginia.

A lot of home teams doing well vs ranked visitors of late - like historically well.

It happens - remember when every favorite won in what was it - week 11/12 of NFL this season and every square thought they were invincible and knew way more than the “wise guys” because they bet into a trend. How did they do come playoff time betting faves ? It all equals out eventually - sometimes it’s a week - sometimes it’s a month - but it rarely takes months.
