Did anyone know catcher's interference is considered a live ball infraction and the offense has the choice of taking the play (such as batter hitting a double) or taking the base as a dead ball?

Yeah, that's weird. So the catcher gets an error....but the AB does NOT count, even thou the batter reached via error? His OBP goes up but BA stays the same?

I'm not really sure how that's factored in. Good question. Maybe someone has an answer. My guess is, the batter gets no action on any stats but don't know for sure.
