Georgia did not announce the results of the MRI, so the grade is not known, although multiple sources briefed on the matter said Monday it was the UCL. It didn’t even say it was to the UCL, only that it was an elbow injury. Georgia did not announce that Beck will have surgery, and Gibson said Grade 1 is the only kind where an athlete might not get surgery, but he cautioned that a lack of public announcement may not be confirmation that surgery is off the table.

But what if it is a Grade 1 injury? Rest and rehab of at least four weeks are recommended. Beck got hurt on Dec. 7, and the Sugar Bowl is on Jan. 1, which is four weeks later.

“My gut feeling would be even a Grade 1, he would not be playing soon. He might avoid surgery, but I wouldn’t think he’s playing anytime soon,” Gibson said. “I would think three to four weeks would be as fast as possible. But there are so many variables with his exam, tenderness, if it hurts to throw in four weeks, he’s not going to play.

I think ND has value to win the championship along with taking an OR/ND final. Indiana-Georgia-Penn State is not a murderer's row although OR will be a challenge. ND is around +1100 and OR +350.
Personally, I would rather see Beck play based on his performance this year if I am on the opposite side.

No id certainly take C.Beck an Nfl draftee over a kid without a single career start. Georgia +350 to win the title is ridiculous. I remember Saban won a title with backup Jake Coker but he wasnt a sophomore running Qb. He was like 23 and a veteran

That’s a bad injury to the shoulder or elbow. No way is he 100% if he plays in the playoff game

They have a good road to the final but without him they arent going 3-0. His drab facial expressions get the hate against him but his stats are solid. New Qb beating 3 top 10 teams isnt happening
