The way Kiffin described it in a pretty good documentary piece on Lane that’s up on ESPN plus, is (when he finally asked Nick why he acts that way) Saban told him because he likes to get it all out of his system all at once and then he’s done with it.

I will say I've never seen the "softer" side of Saban. He's always been abrupt and in-your-face.
