It's always a hot topic, especially given high rates now.

NY borrowing $850M (bonds) at basically 40 year high rate to build a stadium in Buffalo...not NYC, that's going to get used in a profitable way, about 10 times a year, to allow billionaire owners & millionaire players to earn a living, whilst none of them live in New York.

Basically, publicly funded stadiums are why player contracts are so ridiculous & the cost of a game is unaffordable for most families, it enables the gap to widen between the haves and the have nots..

Imagine if NY put $850m into tax relief???

But, if Buffalo were to relocate, it'd be a huge hit to economy there.

how many of the NY taxpayers don't give a shit about football though.

if your state decided to put 850 million into some hair stylist competion arena, you might think it a waste. there are many hard workers that view sports as fairly frivolous.
