Jake Paul says he and Bud were super close to finalizing a deal just couldn’t get their schedules to work out

Jake said recently “maybe in early 2026”

I imagine Bud couldn’t say no to the payday that would generate, especially if somehow Jake wins this weekend

I think lack of real competition since (even though he didn’t back down from anyone) because he was so far ahead of anyone else near his weight classes

And his long layoffs in between fights hurt him a bit

Will still go down as one of the best in this era (what boxing has become today - far cry from 70s, 80s, etc)
