If Jerry Jones was a convicted con man who defrauded thousands to gain his wealth - oh wait - buying up family farms for minerals and selling them to operators for millions is not “technically” fraud I guess but outs you pretty damn close.

A modern day railroad baron - bought in knowing which areas were being studied for development and made a huge bet buying up interest only to flip them a year later. Farmers who had been struggling to make a living saw this guy offering them a lifeline to buy minerals on their land and took it - only to find out he sold them for millions after paying them hundreds.
