According to @BobbyFK

Brock wrote me a check and then asked me to Western Union him some of the money. Check bounced a few days later and I was out roughly $2k. Classic scam but I was too trustworthy and didn't realize the scam at the time

Plenty of losers out there that still can't open their own checking account ( claiming various excuses ), so mom has to send them money via good old fashion Western Union. Still amazes me that Amscot and all those check cashing places still exist, but America is going to America.
