Michaels was going over the bio on the Horse/Jockeys as they approached the gate. Michaels quotes the live tote of 17/1 on Shoemaker's horse.

MICHAELS: "Used to be that you couldn't get 17-to-1 on Shoemaker if he was on the back of Mr Ed."

Great line. And Shoemaker delivered. Just a few minutes later, he won the Derby.

De Paz buried me all Saratoga. Guy owes me and this one has a good West Coast race 2 back. Looks like he dances all the dances in Graded Stakes on the grass. I like those types. Usually catch them at a price once they finally break through.

Euros been kind of quiet so far, so I’m jumping aboard at a price. Aiden O’Brien has two in here. One’s getting hammered, the other’s getting ignored. Going with the ignored half.

Probably a reach but the horse has some really good closing efforts at a mile and a quarter. The field isn’t exactly stellar and probably half can’t run this marathon dirt distance. Puts us in the mix, especially if a hot pace develops. Drifted up to 42-1 with 10mtps….

Ended the weekend +$300, all off of one horse. Racing has a big problem in my opinion. Their big days have become chalkfests, more often than not. It used to be bomb after bomb on their big days. Can’t remember a day like that the last few years. Plus, the time between races is way too long. I don’t have the answer, but they need to figure it out.
