I read he got demoted and pay cut. Should have lost his job though for doing an illegal search and denying a citizen his rights making up a law that doesn't exist. If you read the comments the dog handler didn't even do it right and even so the dog never gave the signal that there was something there. I guess when the dog picks up the scent then handlers praise the dog 5 times. They are also never to stop moving or leave slack on the dog leash. 1 bad cop gives them all a bad name. You know damn straight if he didn't show that he was a lawyer things would have been different.

Just imaging how much traces of drugs are in Uber/lyft drivers vehicles.

I'm surprised that being a lawyer he said anything to the cops. The fundamental rule of dealing with the police is "to never talk to the police" other than to say "I plead the 5th" if they ask you anything. Even the slightest misunderstanding can lead to unintended circumstances.
