The Masters starts on Thursday and we share information, betting odds, and tips with you. The NBA seats at the table for the playoffs are being determined and we examine what is going on and what matters. The Sacramento Kings won the Pacific Division and if anyone wagered almost anything on them before the season, they have a great deal of extra money. About Last Night…
NBA
Chicago, New Orleans, and Oklahoma City had opportunities to improve their playoff positions and failed. That was especially galling for the Bulls and Pelicans who were at home, with Chicago (-5.5) slammed by 18 points by Atlanta and New Orleans (-4) losing by the same score to Sacramento. The Thunder (+7.5) falling at Golden State 136-125 was not a shocker.
With Sacramento’s victory in the Big Easy, they have officially clinched the Pacific Division. That is the Kings’ first division crown in two decades, and get this, their preseason odds to win the division were +25000! That is why some people will bet $1 on futures.
MLB
The Boston Red Sox starting pitcher through five games this season has accomplished something historic. (Spoiler Alert, it isn’t good)Tampa Bay is 5-0 and each victory has been decisive, winning by four or more runs. The only other team in MLB history with a streak that long to begin a season was the St. Louis Maroons in 1884 (13 straight). Who doesn’t remember that team?
Last night Miami beat Minnesota 1-0 and the game lasted 1 hour and 57 minutes. (Not a misprint)
NHL
Edmonton beat Los Angeles for a second time in three games, 3-1 as -140 road favorites, and leap-frogged them for second place in the Pacific Division. The Oilers are just three points behind Vegas with five games left for the top spot in the division.Florida has won four in a row and is tied with the New York Islanders for the wild card slots, with Pittsburgh one point behind. The Penguins lost 5-1 at New Jersey Tuesday and each team has four games remaining.

Golden State has two road games so that is dicey, though the Kings and Blazers have nothing to play for. Tonight’s Lakers/Clippers winner grabs the upper hand. Dallas with a victory tonight ties OKC for the last spot, but they have to finish ahead of them because the Thunder hold the tiebreaker.
