One of my all time favorite musicians who I've seen a number of times is dead at 90. Many greats got started in his bands .
Eric Clapton
Jack Bruce
Mick Taylor-Rolling Stones
Peter Green -Fleetood Mac
And many many others.

RIP

If the names not familiar - as mentioned just know there’s a reason he is called the godfather of British Blues because your favorite supergroup from England in the late 60s/70s probably showed his influence - if they didn’t have a guitar talent he recruited at some time.

Honestly couldn’t name a song he made famous - and the Beano album is probably the only one he was on I own - but to say he was influential would be understatement. Part of a generation that took what we called “race records” and made them something a bunch of white hipster kids treated like a religion. Without Mayall - we don’t have R&R as we know it - simple as that. Congrats Sir and thank you - 90 is a hell of a run for a musician.
