Hello sunshine!

My recent withdrawal from Heritage was denied because I used the same blockchain wallet address. They are requesting that I use a different one before I try again. The one I sent them earlier was through my trading account from blockchain but I do have another BTC wallet that I can use through my private key wallet. However, my question is does the wallet address ever change? I notice the trading account was the same since my last transaction. Unsure of the private key wallet. Thanks for the help!

It happened to me last weekend and the worst part is they don’t send a notice about it. I kept noticing the payout hasn’t been taken out but by the time I checked the payout section and noticed the message it was already after 11am (deadline).

I use Coinbase and had to generate a new address as I used previously for a payout with Bovada. I then got payout processed on Monday. I also have blockchain wallet but hardly use it. There should be a way to generate a new address at blockchain. Might want to check in settings.

Is this something new with heritage?

I haven't had a payout there in many months and I don't remember having to change myaddress

I know they generate a new one for you each time for deposits, but withdrawals have never been like that that I recall

It’s always been this way with them. Only outfit I’ve ever had this issue with.

I just have to make sure it’s a new wallet address I’ve never used before when I request a Heritage payout

I haven't gotten a withdrawal from them since the pandemic so it's been two years. I don't recall ever having to create a new address unless it was one for me automatically as a default once it was used. Thanks everyone but I was able to create a new address in my private key wallet

Maybe I'm missing something...
Do you guys use the same address over and over? I always create a new address and submit it. Am I making a mistake?

Hi. Let me ask you a question. Did they just reject the payment or did they block the funds too?

It's good practice to use a different address for every transaction. Exodus and Coinomi are great hot wallets to use for this. They are both very easy to use. And yes Heritage has been doing that since at least 2019.

Here's a quote when you type in using different addresses,

One way of keeping everything separate and making it much harder for all your transactions to be linked together, is by using a new Bitcoin address for each one. This is recommended for maximum anonymity.

That was my thought too when using a new addy every time.... Keep the transactions from being linked.
Thanks rabiddog.

When I first started out with crypto, I had a similar experience. I was using the same wallet address for everything until I learned about the importance of diversifying. After some digging, I discovered that using different addresses can help avoid complications down the line.
As for your question about wallet addresses changing, it depends on the type of wallet you're using. With a private key wallet, the address typically stays the same.
