Hello BookMaker Review Community. I regret to inform you all that I am downgrading BetOnline to A tier after the most insufferable conversation with one of their floor supervisor’s today. I sent one of my personal friends to BetOnline earlier this evening. I didn’t even know BetOnline had a refer a friend program but I decided to try it out. You get 50% of their deposit up to $100. My friend deposited $500, but I never got the referral credited. Went to customer service, was told all is well he just needs to wager his funds, and I’ll be credited. Long story short, he does, I never get credited. They start to claim he never used my link. Not sure if this is because he won or not. Anyways, in this customer service chat, the guy is incredibly disrespectful and condescending. Claiming I didn’t do it right. I asked him if they could manually put it in after showing a picture of the previous agent claiming the referral was registered, and I got it with a “that’s not how it works.” I then asked to be transferred to a supervisor. Here is how the conversation went.

Too bad they are treating it like this. Would think at least a courtesy credit/bonus is in order just to keep good graces going. They would want you to keep referring people and now you won’t be as positive about doing it.

It’s not like your friend clicked someone else’s link to sign up and they are paying on that. “We do not own Telegram” is a pretty tone deaf way to put it lol :icon_roll

Meh - I get it - but keep in mind books - especially top tier books simply don’t care.

So your friend didn’t use the link to sign up - what are you going to do - jump turn back time and stop him from signing up with them ? It’s done - there is no way to validate the signup is yours without the friend verifying and books see this all the time.

Unless you are sending them dozens of losing customers a week - they don’t care.

And speaking for the bookmaker community as a whole - I doubt anyone is going to join in a boycott of BetOnline or change their opinion of the book because you lost out on a free hundo. The books marketing campaign is far bigger than yours. It’s annoying - but far from a unique situation (just had something similar happen at another book coincidentally- signed up using a BMR user name and not their account number and book initially refused to give that user credit on the bring a buddy program).

I know for a certainty he clicked the link I sent him because he’s an older guy and I helped him set up his account. He did it in front of me. It’s not about the $100, it’s about the principle. I’ve wagered close to a million at BetOnline and they hassle me over $100. Pathetic.

They don't care about your million in wagers.

Sadly - this.

I mean if you’re a lifetime winner - they don’t care. What are you going to to do - leave and improve their bottom line ?

I mean I get people getting pissed over the quality of customer service - but look who you are talking about.

It’s a freaking offshore bookmaker - and one who does pay and doesn’t generate many complaints. Do you really think they care that you won’t be back ? Do you think BMR (the organization- not the forum) is going to support you in a dispute ?

No - you’re posting a complaint thread to an audience who simply doesn’t care. No one will stop using them because someone got cheated out of an affiliate referral - now say they are slow paying and people will start a run on the bank situation with proof. But this - no one cares about as long as they still get their loss rebates.
