Bet365’s owners, Denise, John and Peter Coates, have made it into the top 20 of the Sunday Times UK richlist.
The Coates family, which owns 93% of Bet365, occupy 19[SUP]th[/SUP] spot, worth a total of £6.856bn ($8.9bn). This has risen by £1.1bn since last year, and sees them move up two places.
According to The Sunday Times, the Bet365 owners were Britain’s second-highest taxpayers in 2018, with their tax bill reaching £156m for 2017-18.
Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, who own the Ritz Hotel Casino, came 17[SUP]th[/SUP], rising £600m to be worth a grand total of £8bn.
For the third time, Sri and Gopi Hinduja and family have been named the UK’s wealthiest people, worth £22bn. The Hinduja Group, founded in Mumbai in 1914, has interests around the world, including oil and gas, banking, IT and property.
