BEST BET THREAD CONTEST
We will be starting a Best Bet contest Monday May 30th. It will be a part of the existing Best Bet thread that is updated regularly. The contest will be a weekly contest from Monday to Sunday, for 5 weeks (possibly longer if additional funds are obtained). The Best Bet poster who accumulates the most units in a given week will win $20 in BTC.
For those of you who wish to continue posting in the thread without participating in the contest, continue to do so just like you have been doing. Nothing will change for you while the contest is ongoing. When the contest time period is over, we will continue the thread as previously seen.
For those who wish to participate in the weekly contest, in addition to the typical information you must post with your play, you will also need to add an additional line (shown in bold below).
- Date
- Your overall Best Bet Thread YTD record including +/- units
- The play, line/odds (use American Odds, not Decimal)
- The book
- You record with +/- units for the week (<-- add this line of info)

The last line of your posted play is what will differentiate those that are playing in the weekly contest and those that are not. Although we will continue to regularly compile the Best Bets year-to-date information in the table in the first post, each contestant will track their own plays and post their own record for the weekly contest (i.e. the last line of your posted play shown in bold).
In addition to the rules already noted in the first post of the Best Bet threads, the following apply:
1. Each weekly contest is Monday thru Sunday.
2. The winner will be based on most units won for the week.
3. You may skip a week and play in the contest in subsequent weeks.
4. You must have a minimum of 5 plays/week to be eligible for the prize that week.
5. For ties, BTC will be split evenly.
6. We will cancel an entry if the user is in violation of the spirit of the contest.
7. Any disputes will be resolved by Enikk and Tanko (since we're initially funding the contest).
8. Payout of BTC for winners will occur after the conclusion of the contest (currently after week 5). Winners will be contacted by Tanko via PM to obtain BTC addresses.
9. There is one additional rule we will be applying for those participating in the contest. Please review your posts closely before submitting. If you make an error (omit a piece of information accidentally), then your play will not count for that day. For contestants, only 1 post for your play is allowed. This requirement sllightly differs from those who are not in the contest.
