This is awesome cause I know we are experienced bettors around here but a back-to-basics recap never hurts, Every once in awhile I'll catch myself making betting mistakes (specially live betting) that I would swear I learnt 5 to 10 years ago but find their way out in different scenarios.

Anyways, lately I've had a couple of friends wonder out loud why not just take favorites that are laying less than a TD and dogs getting 7+ as a strategy. Also, with so much info available what are the 3 top stats that rookie bettors should focus on or could offer easier info to digest?
