One thing that’s burned me in the past that I’m going to try and be cognizant of is week 1 of college football (and/or Zero Week).

It’s easy to get too excited football is back and get overzealous early.

Add to the fact teams, even real good ones, improve a lot week 1 to week 2. And you have a set up for a lot of teams being overrated or over bet their first game out.

I'm looking hard at Alabama -13.5; last year, FSU beat only Cal (by five) and Charleston Southern and all three games against ranked opponents were losses by 16, 22 and 49 points. I know Alabama isn't near as dominant anymore but FSU looks like they have nothing.

I’m high on the transfer QB from Boston College this Castellanos kid. Think there is value there plus the points myself.

Yeah, they seem to get away with it more how they run offenses in college. I like him as a college quarterback, not necessarily next level.

Some good games week 1 to watch and not wager on…

Exactly how I feel - unless your playing moneyline on the huge favorites - nothing is certain.

Florida State seems to remind us every year - just because your a top 10 team playing an unranked team doesn’t mean you will by 3+ TDs.

Ohio State every year feels like they do the same thing - look great and then lay an egg vs some MAC team from in state by “only” winning by 18 or so when they were favored by 32.
