Worst part is, some people run their business on their phone so they lost real money with the outage. $5 isn't going to cover their losses for the day.

Was just about to mention this.

Doubt there will be class action, sometimes shit happens.

Don’t forget AT&T has lost billions and billions of dollars the last three years. It’s a failed company.

What the fukk are you talking about?

Bruh, AT&T had 2023 gross profit of over $72.305 billion. That was a 3.45% increase over 2022.

Annual gross profit for 2022 was $69.893 billion, which was about a 5% decline from 2021's $73.631 billion, which itself was a near 5% decline from 2020.

It’s AT&T - don’t ever expect much of them.

Gives everyone $5 today - announces a $7 increase on the bill effective tomorrow likely. Oh and they are probably creating a new data cap and some other foolishness.

I hate them - but it’s basically a duopoly with Verizon now. They own the post paid and pre paid carriers.

Remember when all you had to say was “cancel” and they would start making deals to keep you ? Yea - those days are over. Now some are happy to see you go.

Wireless is all about infrastructure and capacity - once you build a network in an area - you can take on say 100k lines - it cost little more to serve 1 or 99,999 lines. So they pushed - BUT when you start approaching say 90k - suddenly you have a choice - build more capacity ($$) or limit the build out. You never want to reach a point you have to say no - so kinda like an airline - you charge more as those last few seats on the plane fill up. When it’s empty - you push hard to get seats filled - but as the last 4 or 5 rows are all that’s left - you increase price dramatically and profit from those last few people who need tickets.
