Fan in first row of right field got in the way of Dubon catching the HR.
Luckily the Stros still won 8-5 yesterday....

Why ?!?

I mean - if it’s a “record” HR ball - like a players 500th or if it would be the single season record or something - I mean I get it.

But it’s an otherwise meaningless HR ball for the opposition. Why would you steal the ball from a potential run saving catch ?

I get “instinct” - but if your first “instinct” is to reach into the field of play - you probably shouldn’t be at a ballgame.

I have never found myself having to reach out to snag a ball that was not otherwise coming right at me. I’ve never got the need for a “souvenir” either from adults. Give a damn HR/foul ball to a kid who will remember it long after you would.
