The Athletics will spend the next three seasons playing at a minor league ballpark in West Sacramento before their planned move to Las Vegas for the 2028 season.

Not sure its far enough away from Oakland. The stench from the move the team is making probably reaches Sacremento. I doubt they will fill the triple A stadium.

Their attendance last week as abismal in Oakland (avg 6400). They can't do worse in Sacremento.

This could be like their fluffer city before heading over to Vegas.

Sacramento Kings owner and owner of the River Cats, Vivek Ranadive was a part of this deal.

He's trying to get a MLB expansion team to Sacramento and is trying to show the market can handle it.
