Are the owners of this site still active?? And could you actually announce the result of any cases / complaints listed on the forums.

While the service you offer is a good idea, I think its pretty shit that you do not post any results of claims made against bookmakers on this site. SBR is equally as bad as well.

It would be nice to see a response from admin stating " xxxxxxx's complaint against xxxxx bookmaker is fraudulent etc...."
Or
"Xxxxx's complaint against xxxxxx bookmaker was successful and received payment"

It would be nice to see what actually happens / the outcome of the complaints posted on here. You won't be violating any privacy + also bookmakers will see it as a good thing when problems are resolved / fraudsters are caught.

I'll even do it for you if you can't be arsed anymore!!!!!

Thanks! I would be more than happy to help, plenty of people still find this site when looking to complain, but there does seem to be little acknowledgement from admin in regards to complaints and forum spam etc....

Is it possible that a lot of bookies won't discuss things with them anymore? Or have they made enough cash via affiliate signups that they've lost interest now?

I'm sure yourself and Trev would also make great additions to admin / complaints handling. You're pretty much the only regular posters / contributers on here nowadays.

Well,I can understand if they never intended to put a huge amount of effort into it - but without a reasonable effort, interest will dry up - especially from people with complaints about bookies who need them looked into. Then the hits will dry up and so will the advertising money.Doing our best here,NewBMR,but we need your help.

I agree with all the sentiments expressed above. I've suspected for some time that BMR Support are not putting as much effort in as they might be when it comes to following up complaints by players. If that's the case (and it seems to be to me), then, as Quincunx says, interest in the site will disappear and so will BMR's advertising revenues. Apart from the issue of player complaints, there are also other areas of the site which are badly in need of attention, not least some of the bookmaker ratings. So come on, BMR Support, show us that you are still interested.

It could also be a case of that so many complaints have been fraudulent, that they have lost interest / gained a bad name by representing them. I do read other forums and the amount of fraudulent claims is quite astonishing (and these are just the ones you read about).

Obviously, you can understand them for trying, but if it's put the admin of this site off of pursuing claims then it's a bit shit.

The latest one that seems to be going around is the "I self excluded but was allowed to open a new account" scam.

It must be annoying to take on cases like these, but it would be nice to see the people claiming them shamed. Also would be nice to see legitimate claims acknowledged as well.

Agreed. If we had a better idea of which claims are bogus,we would know which people to help - or at least try to help. Can't see any way of preventing people from trying it on - that comes with the territory,I'm afraid. The tricky part is that some dodgy-sounding claims which decent bookies have turned down actually will be genuine - and it will take a bit of work to find out which those are.

Very true... A lot of complaints do sound very suspicious at first glance, and a lot of information appears to be left out a lot of the time. Good example of a fraudulent or suspicious complaint was the guy recently involving 18bet. Turns out he violated one of the terms which is deliberately higlighted in a different colour on 18bets website. He came on here slating the company, before eventually saying what he did and admitted breaking the term!

Most fraudulent complaints appear to come in waves for a specific reason and I'm sure genuine players end up getting suspected of doing similar when actually they are honest players.

As soon as one stops another starts almost immediately. 2013 / 2014 had all the live casino chip dumping frauds once they were cracked down upon, people started the self exclusion blag. That only came about after a successful claim when someone lost a few thousand pounds and was eventually refunded!!! It'l be interesting to see what's next!

Multi accounting is the biggest issue, but even with genuine players that is down to a lack of technical knowledge!
