I couldn't stand that stuff. My dumbass doctor prescribed that for me because my blood pressure was climbing up. Anti-depressants calm you down. It was good to be mellow but the side-effects were dangerous.
I'll never forget I was walking down a hall at work and half of my body went limp for a second. I gathered myself and thought I may have had a stroke. I regained my balance.
I later went on forums to see if it was the Lexapro. Many others had this experience. I quit taking it right away. Can you imagine someone on that crap holding a baby? Or perhaps someone driving on a curve and blacking out just enough to drive into oncoming traffic?
Now I know my doctor could have prescribed me a simple water pill to help with my barely elevated blood pressure. Instead, she prescribes me that crap. I never went back to her after that.
