So is this chart confirming my conspiracy theory that a disproportionate amount of afternoon games go into OT?

Take a look at the number of the late games per year that go to OT and compare that to the actual number of late games to get a percentage.

Actually, I think those numbers in the chart are doubled now that I think of it. It counts how many team are in OT in late games so since there are 2 teams in each OT, then it gets counted twice.

2019: 6 late games went to OT
2020: 6 late games went to OT
2021: 12 late games went to OT
2022: only 1 game went to OT so far

There is 1 late game on Thursday.
There are 4 late games on Sunday.
There is 1 late game on Monday (usually).

So each week has 6 late games. Multiply that times 17 weeks and you get 102 late games per year.
