When they started their new rewards program, I got $100 for being at level Platinum III. After a few months I moved up to Diamond I and they sent me $500. The weekly and monthly rewards that you get, are separate from those. If you are in the top 500 in any day, you get a small reward. I have gotten 3, the biggest was $10 for being between 200 and 300 for the day. I can't remember exact number they said I Finished that day.
It sounds like you got a "we would like you to start using us again." bonus.
