Curious as to what happened here. Whatever it was - I highly doubt it was random.

Despite all the redevelopment - that area was rough 5 years ago when I left town. Actually borders on 2 parts of town I was in regularly. A lot of petty crime - but murder wasn’t really a concern. Only shootings were gang on gang incidents.

The brother in law seems to have a lot to say - not sure why. The fact they regularly hosted large parties makes me think this was a love affair gone bad with a “friend” and that friends spouse.

The fact there is no info... No clues as to what happened is crazy.
Normally we hear something like there was forced entry or something. It seems to be a big mystery. Hopefully, the police know more and are just not sharing.

Hopefully not just an unhappy patient

Don’t see that being a motive here - he was in a small town practice about 30 miles South of the city.

Or.... jealous, 3rd party? crime of passion? We don't know.

I’m guessing it was someone known to them. As noted - no forced entry and this is not an area where you leave doors to your home unlocked. It becomes almost a natural reflex to lock doors and have a security system when you live in areas like that.

Likely - that’s what leads me to believe it’s a known person - not some random stranger. There are ALOT of gangs running those streets - but they are no where near organized or big time. Typical midwestern city gangs - 13-23 years old, stealing cars and low level drugs.

No snitching doesn’t apply to “rival” gangs with these kids and word gets out fast. Someone knows something if it was a local and they would be chirping away for the reward $$.

The publicity this case is getting has to be putting pressure on police to do something. Also makes me wonder how it’s hitting the real estate market down there. Again - area very much being “gentrified” - Short North and OSU campus nearby, but so are Milo-Grogan and S Linden - 2 pretty rough areas still. If you ever went to the Ohio State Fair or a Crew Soccer game at the old stadium - you know why you wanted to be out of the area by nightfall.
