Thought double jeaopoardy may apply but since all charges were dropped, a new trial begins with jury selection today.

Didn't care for the Empire show but found the whole hoax mildly entertaining.

a Real POS, looking to get attention, said he was jumped by "Whitey" on his way to get a Subway sandwich or something like that at 2 AM
only thing is, he actually hired a guy ( Black) to stage the whole thing, the Cops found the guy on video buying a Mask and shit for the staged mugging. ( I think there were two guys ) Brothers?? I forget. But they made a deal with the Cops and I think the plan is they will be a witness.

Longer story, short, Jessie cried Racist attack, went on TV, newspapers, and to tell the whole world about it.
oh and he's also gay ( Not that there's anything wrong with that ) * Seinfeld episode, outing
so it became a Hate crime

The kicker was that some big named Dems. came out and defended him and wanted to blame Trump
of course, the best part was after it was found out that it was all made up, those "Big names" were silent, no backtracking those comments about Trump.
oh, but there's more. state's attorney Kim foxx, who was to bring charges against the lie and Jessie, dropped all charges because she was a friend of a friend of somebody, and maybe even asked by a "Big name" to drop all charges against him. ( on the Lie )
Somehow, she was cleared

and the guy running the show, and co-stars were backing him until the truth came out, so they canned him

Side note, one of his Sisters started in that Witchcraft show and isn't bad looking
