It wasn't always tough. I tried day-trading occassionally 1990s and made money but everyone did. The overall market was trending up nearly the whole decade so you had to really suck at it to lose money.

Today, you have to be linked in to social media news trends to get the edges, especially with this president swinging the markets with every tweet.

If you're not plugged into the information channels, then you have to be a politician with insider information to capitalize on the swings, and every one of them does it.
