I am Australian and agree with the sanctions.
Australian cricketers have made me cringe for many years with their holier than though attitude and harsh judgement of other countries acting like no Australian would ever use PEDs or cheat or act unethically.
Australian culture does have a strong ethic of fair play that we call "a fair go" for all. And much of the public does think Australians would never cheat, but out cricket team has riden on that cultural phenomenon like blood sucking leaches for many years.
Australian cricketers are obnoxious trash talking win at any cost shames of our nation, even when they win. Not long ago David Warner (Vice Captain) who I believe is the bad apple behind this more than anyone else, and chose to marry a groupie who has bedded sports stars over the years, made some sledging that his wife was a tramp into a national media issue like he is some pious champion of good sportsmanship when everyone knows she is a tramp and he IS a bit of a scumbag.
I am kind of torn of course. Feel strongly about it and am ashamed for the country, but also kind of pleased something major is finally happened that might change a systemic and deeply rooted problem in Australian cricket.
